East Village Artisans has been creating seashell lamp shades for private clients, retail stores, and commercial establishments since the 1980's.

Each lamp is created by me alone. I do not farm out my lamps for others to make. This is why I am thrilled to offer you the choice to buy an already finished original creation, or to have the chance to collaborate with me to make a stunning one of a kind lamp together!

We all have our favorite beaches (mine is Sanibel Island in Fla) and have experienced a day that is just picture perfect. The sun, the sand, the sky, and maybe a friend or loved one to share it with. We find treasured pretty seashells, only to get home and have them wind up in a jar or scattered about.

I created these gorgeous seashell lampshades and sconces for upscale Aquagrill Retaurant in Soho, NYC. The cuisine will make you a lifelong devotee. The dynamic duo aka Jeremy and Jennifer Marshal (the proprietors) and I, collaborated to create the perfect balance of color and texture to enhance the Tuscan colored walls.
